a savvy gal's guide to forging a life and finding her way

"I loved getting your email...made me smile from ear to ear. So... I wanted to let you know that you, your website and your spirit inspired me...I'm following my heart and going to Pastry/Baking school! Hopefully, I'll be starting in April...yay for cupcakes!"

I might not know who you are, but I think I know why you're here. You're on the brink of something good. The events of your life up to this point have sufficiently prepared you for graduating high school, and then attending college or beginning a career. You are moving on seamlessly into the "real" world, finding the perfect friends, snagging the perfect guy and establishing the perfect life.

Right?
Wrong.

Too often, we allow our external lives to dictate our future. We forget what it means to trust ourselves, stay true to our souls, and listen to our hearts. When we let go of this, we let go of who we are. The truth is, these are supposed to be the best years of our lives. This doesn't come without work. Just because we wear high-heels doesn't mean we don't have guts. Now it's time to listen to 'em.
